As a writer, inspiration is your fuel. But sometimes our inspiration runs low.

If we’re pushing ourselves really hard, our tank may even go empty. So here are five tools to top up your inspiration on the daily.

  1. Daily Planner

A daily planner is a great tool for slipping in a spark of inspiration each day. Consider choosing a planner that includes a motivational quote on each page.

  1. Creative Writing Journal

If you’re into journals, this is another great tool for powering your day with inspiration.

You can choose a journal that includes inspirational quotes on each page. Or maybe you prefer pictures, sentence starters or writing prompts to inspire your creativity.

  1. Inspiration Calendar

A calendar is another easy tool for infusing inspiration into your day.

There are so many options. You can even opt for a flip calendar that offers positive affirmations, a bit of humour or inspirational quotes from famous authors.

  1. Motivation Apps

Sometimes we may need a consistent source of inspiration that pushes us to be our best. In that case, motivational apps may be quite effective.

You can download your preferred app on your phone to receive a dose of motivation daily or even multiple times throughout the day.

There are many free motivational apps that you can choose from. Most apps also offer subscription-based plans that include a range of customizable features.

Maybe you prefer speeches, video clips or curated quotes. Depending on the app, you can even choose the theme and music that suit your preferences. Go with what works best for your budget and needs.

  1. Personalized Poster Board

Have you been jotting down quotable quotes or snippets of inspiration in random places?

Well, you can create a poster board, ideally close to your work nook, to organize your collection of quotes and your personal words of wisdom.

A poster board is also great place to jot down important reminders, like taking a brain break or practicing self-care.

Motivation Matters

Throughout your writing journey, your motivation will wane. It may be a sign that you need to take a much-needed break or pause for cause before moving on to the next stage.

But sometimes, you may need that extra push to keep you going. On those days, a little inspiration can power you for miles.

Make the most of your writing journey by incorporating these simple inspiration tools into your daily life.
